He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Sweeney and Mary Sweeney; his wife Deborah; his children, Richard Jr. (Patricia) of Grossmont, Mark (Ellen) of Alpine, Christine Wolf (Mark) of Escondido and Sheri Smithers (Andi) of Escondido; his grandchildren, Hillary Cox (Christopher), Reid Sweeney, Kiel Kauthen, Justin Wolf (Tori), Elizabeth McNary (Tanner), Abigail Sims (Joseph), Edward and Cathrynn Smithers; and his great grandchildren, Nevaeh Gabriel Cox, Yvette Kauthen, Amelia, Evelyn, Gabriel Wolf and Desmond McNary.
