She is survived by: her son Dr. Kensaku Nakayama; her daughter-in-law Dr. Rumiko Nakayama; her grandchildren, Karissa and Kendall Nakayama; and her siblings, Masato Kawahara, Takiko Ito and Hiroko Hoshizaki. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
