It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Joanne Burress (Alamo, California), born in Portland, Oregon, who passed away on December 15, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Reverend E. James Cain and Mae Marie Cain; her spouse Rex Eugene Burress; her children, Benjamin Starr, Rebecca McNeil Freeman (Kirk) of Davis and Ben Burress (Kat) of San Leandro; her granddaughters, Maya Johanna McNeil, Keelan Alexandra McNeil and Samantha Celine Burress; and her sisters, Alice Mastelotto of Oroville and Millie Zediker of Montana. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Even during the 10 years she suffered from Alzheimer's disease, she was pleasant, thoughtful and humorous!
