He is survived by: his wife Maryann Comisky; his son Stephen Barber; his daughter-in-law Alba Barber; his grandchildren, Christian Barber, Vivian Barber and Sebastian Barber of Alameda; his daughter Jennifer Barber Ulrich; his son-in-law Douglass Ulrich; his grandchildren, Alison Ulrich and Jake Ulrich of Burlingame; his sister Robin Barber Jackson of Westwood; and also, San Franciscan and Japan.
In lieu of flowers, Steve requested that any donations please be made to the Fisher House Foundation, Inc., a Veterans' charity devoted to the maintenance and operation of lodging facilities for families of wounded veterans near to their recuperating loved ones, at address 111 Rockville, Pike, Suite, Rockville, MD 20850.
