Gene P. LaFollette Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene P. LaFollette of Alameda, California, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on April 15, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Tex LaFollette and Anna Pauline Westhoff; and his parents-in-law, Lorraine McKenna Asmussen, John Asmussen, Ron Baumgartner and Billy Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Melissa Cooke (Brian), Matt (Corrine), Allison Catanzarite (Doug), James and Madelyn; his siblings, Phyllis Bell, Linda Figg (Chris), Larry (Brenda) and Philip (Bobby Jo); his brothers-in-law, Gary Baumgartner (Kathy) and Tim Lawler; and his uncle James McKenna (Myrna). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the CAR-T Program at Alta Bates Summit's Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC).
