It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elena Castaneda of Alameda, California, who passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, David Castaneda and Gina Fahouri; her sister Margaret Castaneda; her mother Margarita; her grandmother Luz; her uncles, Augustin, Ricardo and Manuel; and her granddaughter Ema. She was also cherished by grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
It was a simple pleasure, and the disruption during coronavirus hurt our hearts.
Elena had a tender heart for animals and would appreciate donations to your local animal shelter in lieu of flowers.
