He was predeceased by: his brother Florencio; and his friend Dolores "Loli" Rios. He is survived by: his children, Arthur Garnica, Albert Garnica, Raul Garnica, Ruben Garnica, Anthony Garnica, Debra Moreno, Gracie Esparza, Norma Rivera and Nancy Garnica; his wife Dolores; and his siblings, Javier and Enedina. He is also survived by five grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren.
