Richard Wallace Brogan Obituary
Our loved husband and father Richard Wallace Brogan left his earthly body behind and passed into the presence of Jesus on August 25, 2023 in Yuma, Arizona. Richard was born on August 6, 1944 in La Jolla, California. His early childhood years were spent in Del Mar, but Imperial Valley CA would be home for most of his life. His first jobs with Imperial County Sheriff's Office and then Yuma County Sheriff's Office were where he learned his investigative craft until he struck out on his own as a private investigator. Richard had a personality made for this work as he was naturally inquisitive, loved to research, and was intuitive for detail. His excellent work was recognized by distinguished attorneys, and county, state and federal agencies. He held office in CALI (California Association of Legal Investigators) for several years and was a member of NALI (National Association of Legal Investigators). Richard made many good friends from various walks of life, but he treasured the pals from his youth and would have long conversations reminiscing and keeping up with them. After almost thirty years in investigative work, Richard retired and moved with his wife to her roots in Oklahoma. There he responded to an opportunity to start a trucking business. After ten successful years in the trucking business and cold winters, this West Coast Brogan took his family back home to warm deserts.
Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita Wilson Brogan, his son Robert Brogan, his daughter Robin Brogan, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew, and many loved cousins.
