He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia Arviso (Lola) and Pouseno Chavez Arviso; his siblings, John Arviso, Tonie Munoz (Chata) and Cheryl Ann Nunez; his parents-in-law, Carmen Ramos and Antonio Ramos; and his brother-in-law Thomas Ramos (Tony).

He is survived by: his wife Rosemary (Ramos); and his children, Theresa Imlay (Brian), Richard Jr. (Kristy), Courtney (Lori) and Jason (Eloisa). He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
