He was predeceased by: his father Delmar W. Harms; and his sister Judy Harms DeVilder. He is survived by: his former wife Marilyn Jennings Harms; his mother Mary Harms (Nott) of Alden, IA; his sons, Isaac Harms (Molly) of Jefferson, SD and Adam Harms (Anggela) of Iowa Falls, IA; his grandchildren, Elijah, Joseph and Maya Harms; his sister Randi Smith (Steve) of Alden, IA; his nephews, Ben DeVilder (Audrey) of Eldora, IA, Zach DeVilder of Altoona, IA and Evan Friedl (Katie) of La Crescent, MN; his niece Emily Johnson (Derek) of Iron River, WI; his great-niece Riley DeVilder; and his great-nephews, Connor DeVilder, Mason DeVilder and Henry Friedl.
