He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Manuela of Montana; his siblings, Thomas (Lilly), Arthur "Gordo" (Mary Lou), Andres "Rabbit" (Joyce), Ernie of Montana, Frances Garcia, Sylvia Castillo and Eloise Martinez; his brother-in-law Cerilo Martinez; and his nephews, Arty and Albert of Montana.
He is survived by: his wife Rosela; his children, Norma Stelzer (Richard), Tony Moreno (Mandy), Nellie of Montana, Nora Winfrey (James), Eddie (Carrie) of Montana and Leticia (Chico Ramirez) of Montana; and his niece Frances. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
This naming served as a lasting tribute to his legacy, a place where his contributions to the athletic community would forever be remembered.
