He was predeceased by: his brothers-in-law, James VonEye, Paul Wermers and Norbert Boehmer; his sister Joan Rochelle Thury; and his nephew James Mattheis.
He is survived by: his sons, Troy Bayne of North Platte, NE and Brian Bayne; and his siblings, John Thury (Arlene), Paul Thury (Deveta), Sheila Mattheis (Delbert), Michael Thury (MarySue), Mary Boehmer, Peg Wermers, Leo Thury (Irene), Parkston VonEye and Rochelle "Rocky" VonEye (Gary Gjesdal).
