He is survived by: his wife Virginia Vargas; his children, Max Vargas Sr., Margaret Vargas-Grajeda and Maria Vargas; and his siblings, Patricia Bennett, Lila Warren, Maida Estudillo, Alfred, John "Toy", Edward and Wilfred Armijo. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
