He is survived by: his wife Rosalie; his sons, Ronnie Meritt, John Meritt (Allison) and Danny Meritt (Shirley); his sisters, Ruth Scrimshaw and Geraldine Kerr (Wiley); and his former wife Eleanor Meritt. He is also survived by 4 sons and 2 daughters, many grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren.
