He is survived by: his spouse Veneralda Ramirez; his children, Raul Alaniz Ramirez of Willcox, Rebeca Lucar (Guillermo) of Whittier and Larissa Alaniz Ramirez (Jose Loza) of Santa Ana; and his siblings, Mercedez Jaurequi, Maria Trinidad Jaurequi, Roberto Alaniz Saldivar, Ruben Alaniz Saldivar, Jose, Ignacio Alaniz Saldivar, Adolfo Alaniz Saldivar, Maria Dolores Alaniz Saldivar and Maria Guadalupe Alaniz Saldivar. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
