He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Allen Ayers and Mary P. Ayers (Phieffer); his wife Betty Green; and his children, Tina Ayers of Willcox and Paul David Ayers (Bobbie Wilcox) of Socorro.
He enjoyed woodworking and would made several wood furniture for his family, and he also donated to the hospital various woodworking items to include a toy chest.
