He was predeceased by: his wife Jessialene; his parents, Jere Coughlin and Kathryn Coughlin; and his siblings, Patsy Lunn, Robert Coughlin, Gypsy Cherryholmes and James Coughlin.

He is survived by: his children, Don, Kathryn Clendenning (Rick) of North Carolina, Debra Molnar (Dan) of Oregon, Dave Coughlin (Tina) of California and Donald Coughlin of Wickenburg. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
