He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shirley and Vivian Shirley (Jones); and his son Scott E. Shirley. He is survived by: his wife Martila Inez Shirley (Makula); his daughter Isabel Maria Hochhaus (Martin Dean); his granddaughters, Natalie Inez and Erika Marie of Tempe; his daughter Sonja Natalie Bochart (Bradley David); his granddaughter Lyla Inez; his daughters, Robin Holmes of Camden, MO. and Shelley Jet of Linn Creek, MO.; and his brother William Joe Shirley (Elouise) of Cantonment. He is also survived by two daughters, two sons-in-law and three granddaughters.
