He is survived by: his former wife Mary Lou Arcus; his wife Nancy L. Freeman-Hauge; his children, Nancy Robson (Mitchell), Daniel Knefley (Laura Fons), David Knefley (Christine), Katy Knefley and Amanda Knefley; his grandchildren, Jacob, Sara, Jackson, Madison, Harrison, Shea and Leo; and his sisters, Judith Dempster (David) and Martha Longo (Ronald). He is also survived by 5 nieces and 1 nephew.
