He is survived by: his wife Helen Simmons; his children, Stephanie Simmons, Rodney Simmons, Christina Simmons, Bill Simmons, Tony Simmons, Alissha Simmons, Angela Simmons and Mark Simmons; his grandchildren, Richard Grisgby, Rachel Grisgby, Josh Parrish, Asia, Andrew Harrell, Mark Jr, Nissi, Tamani, Markell, Markquise, Tria, Chynna Simmons, Shylwanda, Denzall, Kendall Simmons and Anyssa Manning; and his brother James Simmons (Martha). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, nephews and a niece, cousins, family and friends.
