He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Nelson and Lucy Nelson; his sister Alice; and his grandchildren, Cailyn and John Daniel.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, John (Jeap), Christina (Shaun), Martin (Naomi), Anthony (Wendy), Alicia (Justin) and Mariah (Collin); his grandchildren, Zachary (Zoey), Daniel, Asia, Blake, Carter, Ian, Luke, Davis, Norah, Avigail, Leo and Trey; and his siblings, Donald (Winnie), Clara (Ron), Lawrence (Joanne), Robert (Anna), James (Jill), Paul (Rose) and Maryann.
