He is survived by: his mother Jeanne Cates; his daughter Lisa Cocchia (Tony); his grandchildren, Lucas, Violet and Weston; his son David Cates; his sisters, Linda Varney (Dennis) and Laura Cates; and his nieces and nephews, Amanda Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Michael Bass and Dylan Bass.
