She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd Thompson, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Floyd Thompson III (Marisa), Matthew E. Thompson, Dr. Jason E. Thompson (Michelle) and Zachary M. Thompson (Alexandra); her grandchildren, Floyd IV, Belén, Jason Jr., Nora Jean and Drew; her brother Jerry G. Jones (Ann); and her nieces, Angela A. Richard and BrookLynn Richard. She is also survived by extended family and numerous close friends.
Throughout her esteemed career, Shirley made significant contributions to the field of pharmacy and was appointed to the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy by Governor Janet Napolitano.
