He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Burruel and Ysabel Canez Burruel; and his wife Dolores (Lola). He is survived by: his children, Oralia Acuna (Vielito), Yrma Burruel, Raul Burruel (Diana), Berta Kelly (Pete) and Rosa Huerta; his siblings, Elva, Margarita (Mague), Maria, Odelia and Jaime; and his friend Gloria. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary (South Chapel) (240 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701). A rosary was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Church (602 W Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ 85713). A committal service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Hope Cemetery (3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705).
