He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Ben-Asher and Samuel Ben-Asher; his sisters, Aida Nesselroth and Marcia Burstein; his wife Bryna; and his children, Steven Ben-Asher and Susan Newton (Jon).

He is survived by: his children, Nancy Ben-Asher Ozeri (Tidhar), Jon Ben-Asher of Tucson and Judy Ben-Asher (Dan Hirshfeld) of Roseville, CA; and his grandchildren, Shoham Ozeri, Eshed Ozeri, Geva Ozeri, Halle Ben-Asher and Ellah Ben-Asher.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Mortuary Chapel (3015 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705). A committal service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (3015 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705).

Memorial donations may be made to the Susan Ben-Asher Newton Scholarship in Nursing at the University of Arizona Foundation.
