Larry Lee Manley Obituary
Larry Lee Manley, 62 of Tucson, AZ, passed away February 17, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends. He was an amazing husband, father and friend. He will be extremely missed by so many.
He went by many names, some of them were Dad, Papa, Butch, Chum #1, Uncle, Brother, Son and many more that were special to so many people.
Larry was a supportive and loving husband of 37 years to Barbara Manley; an extraordinary father to Rhonda Perez (Alex Perez), Angela Mueller, Matthew Manley, Bryan Manley (Jennifer Manley) and Kasie Rivas (Ruben Rivas); a fun and loving papa to 10 grandchildren, Kayla, Cheyenne, Alexis, Taylor, Bailey, Jonah, Dominic, Haylie, Emily and Kathryn and a great-grandpapa to Jeremiah and Ellie. Larry was also an amazing father figure to the lucky few who were fortunate to call this man dad. He was the cool uncle and great friend.
Everyone who knew Larry, knew his love of classic rock, good beer, good sport teams, dirty harry guns, sunshine and the outdoors, watering the dirt and his love of anything tie-dye. But most importantly, the love he had for his family and friends. He was always there for anyone who needed to talk, needed a hug or just someone to drink a beer with. Larry was a soul that was meant to give comfort and knock some sense into you when it was needed. He was good at telling you how it was. He loved to flip off anything that he didn’t agree with (bowling balls, referee calls, stupid drivers). He had a smile that would light up a room, he could make you laugh just by looking at you. His presence was felt by anyone near him and it was a safe feeling. He was a protector and guardian of those he loved.
Larry has left this huge void in many of our lives, he was truly a great man and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 8358 E. Balfour Dr., Tucson, AZ 85710 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
