He is survived by: his sons, Jose Ignacio Montoy Dicochea and German Montoy; and his siblings, Maria Cecilia Montoy, Jesus Manuel Montoy, Rafael Montoy, Jesus Montoy and Luis Fernando Montoy. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Martinez Funeral Chapels - Tucson (2580 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713). A rosary was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Jose Ignacio Montoy will be remembered not only for his contributions to music but for the love and joy he spread throughout his lifetime.
