He is survived by: his wife Bernice Annette May; his children, Jim Skaggs, Carmen Johnson (Skaggs), Cynthia Buesgens (Skaggs) and Bernard Skaggs; and his brothers, Howard, Morris and Dudley. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
