She was predeceased by: her father Joe H. Ward. She is survived by: her mother Hattie V. Ward; her brother Nelson Ward; and her uncles, Nelson Boykins and Leroy Lawson. She is also survived by one nephew and four nieces, along with 16 great-nephews and great-nieces, several godchildren, a host of cousins, adopted nephews and nieces, and many friends.
