He was predeceased by: his former wife Lupe; and also Irene. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his sons, Fernando D. Gomez of Tucson and Federick Eugene Gomez of Tucson; and his siblings, Margaret Aguirre, Mary Mayberry and George Aguirre.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
