He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Leon Burruel; his daughters, Elvira Leon Burruel (MaryAnn Juarez) and Isabel Burruel (David Smutzer); his grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua and Jacob Smutzer; his siblings, Rosario Mendibles and Jesus Burruel; and his parents, Antonia Gallego Bernal and Manuel Burruel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
