“I suspect this is the same David Brilhart who was my science teacher at Santa Rita High School in the late 1980s. If so, I find this news to be very sad, and I'm so sorry for his family. Mr. Brilhart was my favorite teacher through all my years of schooling, bar none. He was brilliant, funny, sympathetic, and much more. Even when he had to deal with classroom management issues, he did so with a smile. I went on to be a teacher myself, and used a lot of what I picked up from Mr. B in my own teaching style. I also worked with his wife during that time, and wish her well. The SRHS class of 1988 is having its 30-year reunion in September, and on a group Facebook board, people have been posting recollections of their favorite teachers. I listed Mr. Brilhart. Rest in peace.”
