He is survived by: his spouse Maria Jesus; his children, Ben (Army), Ofelia Arvizu (late Jesus), Armando, Cecilia (Chris), Elda Zazueta (late Jorge), Teresa Rivas-Rascon (Daniel) and Benito Lizardi; and his siblings, Socorro Caviglia, Isabel Ezrre, Estela Ayon and Ernie. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
