She was predeceased by: her husband Miguel P. Vela; and her son Miguel Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Abrigo and Angelita Vela; and her siblings, Carlos and Esperanza Mendoza. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
