He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory J. Pickens Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Mathews. He is survived by: his wife Anne Bruce Pickens; his children, James B. Pickens (Esther) of Tempe, AZ and Betsy Pickens; his grandsons, Justin Pickens and Jared Pickens; and his siblings, Anita Langford (Bill) and William. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of the Valley Charity and Wounded Warrior Project.
