With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Ray Carter Sr. of Tempe, Arizona, who passed away on January 6, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carter, Sr. and Shirley A. Norris; and his grandfathers, Earl H. and Leland I. Rison. He is survived by: his wife Linda Shirley Carter; his children, Dennis R. Carter, Jr. Virginia M. (Jennifer), Carr Casey M. (Mark), Miller (Austin) and Dustin M. Carter; his grandchild Carter; his siblings, John H. Carter, Jackie Coffman (James Tishko), Mary Heron (Bill), Donna A. Gurule, Nancy Villavicencio-Carter (Washington), Tammy S. Monelly (Mike) and John J. Carter, Jr. (Susan); and his stepsiblings, Barry A. Wise, Cindy Gass and Lisa Marsh. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.

The family would ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in honor of Dennis R. Carter, Sr. to any Alzheimer's Association.
