He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Recker and Bernice Recker; and his son Troy. He is survived by: his wife Susan; and his children, Trudy May (James) of Howell and Edward Fortin (Kari) of Westerville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, his family would like donations to be made in his honor to Hospice of the Valley http://www.hov.org.
