It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark S Zavodny in Surprise, Arizona, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Angeline Budzyn; his stepfather Richard Budzyn; his father Edward Zavodny; his sister Donna Peters; and his grandson Jeremy Rivera.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny Zavodny; his children, Jason Zavodny (Mary Jane) and Veronica High (Chris); his grandchildren, Michael, Brianna, Cameryn, Jada, Mariah, Simone and Zoey; and his siblings, Jerry Zavodny, Phillip Zavodny, Debra Franco and Richard Budzyn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Menke Funeral & Cremation Center (12420 N 103rd Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Saint Thomas More Catholic Church (6180 W Utopia Rd, Glendale, AZ 85308). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392).
