He is survived by: his wife Sandra Johnson Staehle; his daughters, Caroline Armstrong (Jon) and Kate Rookes; his brothers, Steve (Pauline) and Philip (Evelyn); and his grandsons, Samuel, Dominic Armstrong and Devon Rookes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
