He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Sederberg; his son-in-law Scott; and his grandson Alec. He is survived by: his children, John (Jewell), Jan Pearson and Ruth Pierce (Joe). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; five stepchildren.
