He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hvidsten and Mollie Hvidsten; his mother-in-law Ingeborg Mortvedt; his siblings, Ralph, Earl and Lois; and his siblings-in-law, Lila Hvidsten, Gloria Hvidsten and Orin Eidsmoe.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Hvidsten (Nicole), Maria Hvidsten, Fergus Falls, Kari Drake (Mark) and Paul Hvidsten (Kimberly) of Fargo; and his sister Jean Eidsmoe of Austin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
