He was predeceased by: his parents, William Strable and Sarah Strable; his brothers, William Strable Jr. (Shirley) and Andrew Strable; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Sables and John Grommes.
He is survived by: his grandchild Detroit; his former wife Nancy; his wife Marion; his children, Jeff Strable (Jennifer), Steve Strable (Nanette), Sharon Killen (Ron), Scott Strable (Sylvia), Sue Martin (Tom) and Michelle Theis (John); his grandchildren, Corey (Alyssa), Tyler (Lexi), Angell (Collyn), Alyssa (Anthony), Joshua, Benjamin, Abigail, Rachel, Kristopher (Michelle), Kelly (Dene), Taylor and Neil (Alison); his sister Mary Jane Grommes; and his nieces and nephews, Barbara Lamb, Jack Goellner, Adrienne Heberden (Mark), Susan Pisarski (Nathan) and John Bennett (Nancy). He is also survived by his nine great grandchildren.
