She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Churchill and Lillian Churchill; her sister-in-law Martha Anna Byrd Churchill; and her brothers, Thomas Churchill and Warren Churchill.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Sylvia Churchill Alicia Churchill, Beatrice Reed, Noreen Elbey, Greta Churchill Landers, Freddy Churchill, Frederick Churchill and Ronald Churchill.

She was the recipient of a full ride scholarship from the Rockefeller Foundation at UCLA, where she earned a second Master's Degree in Spanish and Cultural Diversity.
