He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden Carter and Emma Lea DeWeese (Owens); his wife Lucy; his brother Bobby; and his grandson Matthew.

He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Stacy of Surprise Arizona and Patricia Mangrum of Branson Missouri. He is also survived by 1 granddaughter, 2 great granddaughters, and 2 great-great granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, http://www.hov.org.
