She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Wempe and Elsie Wempe. She is survived by: her husband Mike Mertes; her son Lance; her daughter-in-law Kathy; her brother Rick; her sister-in-law Cecilia (Mick); her nephew Jacob; and her granddaughters, Emma, Gracie and Rachel.
