He was predeceased by: his father Mike O. Fernandez; his brother Edward Steven Fernandez; and his son Michael Anthony Fernandez II. He is survived by: his mother Mary Fernandez; his sister Maria "Terry" Fernandez; his children, Niki Fernandez (Michael) and Orlando Tameron; his nephew Nico Manriquez (Delia); and his niece Senyssa Beard (Drew). He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
