She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Louise Teran and Emilio F. Chavez; her grandparents, Eduardo, Vicky Teran, Emilio Sr. and Maria; and her nephew Elijah Jose Steffen.
She is survived by: her son Rico J. Chavez; her grandson Rico J. Chavez Jr.; and her brothers, Gilbert Aguilar (Betty), Emilio "Eddie" Chavez (Tina), James R. Bartmess Jr., James R. Bartmess III and Edward D. Bartmess. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
