He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Fredrick Morgan PhD and Alberta Morgan (Cowman); and his sister Alice Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Earlene Morgan (Johansen); his children, Charles Morgan of Scottsdale, AZ and Cathy Culver (Jim) of Chandler, AZ.; his grandson Brett Culver of Chandler, AZ; his brothers, David Morganwalp of Virginia and Bruce Morgan of Maryland; and his sister-in-law Denise Parks of Cedar Falls, IA.. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers a donation in honor of John Charles Morgan can be made for medical research at his alma mater, University of Minnesota.
