She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis C. Botka and Betty A. Botka; her grandparents, Louis Botka, Hattie Botka, John Kwitek and Frances Kwitek; and her niece Shelly Botka.
She is survived by: her husband Rodney K. Platt; her brothers, Donald Botka (Linda) of Brighton, MI and Kenneth Botka (Barbara) of Mishawaka, IN; her nephew Michael Botka (Erica) of Plymouth, MI; her nieces, Jennifer Botka of Mishawaka, IN and Sarah Salazar; her daughter Hannah of Osceola, IN; her sisters-in-law, Hilde Varner (Don) of Beaver, PA and Phyllis Smith (Brad) of Slippery Rock, PA; and her nieces and nephews, Mark Giannone (Amber), Emily Smith, Neil Smith and Abigail Smith.
Oct. 18 at Highland Lakes Care Home in Glendale, AZ after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
