He was loved and cherished by many people including: his adoptive father Emil Keim; his wife June Rustand; his children, Michael (Sarah) of Fargo, ND, Kelley of Minneapolis, MN and Jason of Dallas, TX.; his grandchildren, Leah (Bates) of Denver, CO, Matt of Dallas, TX and Ellen of Austin, TX.; his great grandchild Margaret (Leah); his siblings, Vern "Scotty" Keim (Barb) and Delores Gordon; his parents, Emil Keim and Tina Keim; and his brothers, Earnie and Clarence Hehn.
He was a trustee of Bismarck State College Foundation and served on the board of directors for Mary College.
